Der Wahl-O-Mat hat sich als feste Informationsgröße in Wahlkampfzeiten etabliert. Sein Erfolg beruht auch auf einem Wandel im Wahlverhalten. Dabei bietet der Wahl-O-Mat Grundlagen für eine stärker sachpolitisch ausgerichtete Wahlentscheidung und entwickeln somit ein Gegenkonzept zu den Tendenzen der Personalisierung.
